Garage Cleanouts in Hapeville
We clear out garages packed with old boxes, broken shelving, tools, bikes and yard equipment. You walk through the space with us, point out what goes and what stays, and get a written quote before anything is loaded.
When a Garage Cleanout Makes Sense
Most garages do not fill up all at once. A box from a move lands on the floor, a broken mower gets pushed to the back wall, and a few years later the car lives in the driveway. A garage cleanout is the right call when the job is bigger than a few trips to the curb, or when the items are heavy, awkward or need special handling.
Garages also take on damage that a closet never does. Cardboard sitting on bare concrete wicks up moisture, and in a humid Georgia summer that means mildew, softened boxes and a musty smell that spreads into stored fabric. Particleboard shelving swells and sags. Mice nest in the gaps behind stacked bins. Clearing the space lets you see the slab and walls again and decide what the garage should be used for next.
We put the scope in writing first: which items, which areas, any special-handling pieces and the total. If you add something on the day, we update the quote with you before it goes on the truck.
What Our Garage Cleanouts Include
- Boxes, bins and loose clutter
- We pick up stacked cardboard, plastic totes and everything piled in the corners. Mildewed or collapsed boxes are bagged so the contents do not spill across your driveway.
- Shelving and workbenches
- Metal racks are unbolted and broken down. Particleboard and plywood benches come apart at the fasteners, which keeps splinters and crumbled board off your floor.
- Tools, bikes and yard equipment
- Old mowers, edgers, wheelbarrows, hoses and rusted hand tools all go. For gas equipment, let us know on the call, since fuel left in the tank changes how the item has to be handled.
- Tires and old appliances
- Loose tires and garage freezers or spare refrigerators are common finds. These have separate disposal rules, so we list them as their own lines on your quote. Our appliance removal page covers fridges and freezers in more detail.
- Sweep-out when we finish
- After the last load, we sweep the floor so you can see the concrete and spot any stains, cracks or pest droppings that were hidden under the clutter.
Signs Your Garage Is Due for a Cleanout
The car no longer fits
If you park outside because the bay is full, the garage has stopped doing its main job. Your car is exposed to sun, pollen and storms while the space holds things you rarely touch.
A musty smell or soft boxes
That odor usually comes from cardboard and fabric that have absorbed moisture from the slab. Left alone, mildew spreads to anything stored nearby.
Droppings or chewed material
Mice and roaches like dark, undisturbed piles. Shredded paper or insulation along the walls means something is living in the clutter.
Sagging or leaning shelves
Overloaded particleboard bows over time, and a tall rack that leans can tip. Removing it before it fails is safer than cleaning up after.
You are selling or moving
A buyer or new tenant expects an empty garage. Clearing it early makes listing photos and the final walkthrough simpler.
How the Day Goes
- 1
Walkthrough and written quote
We look at the garage with you, mark what stays, and note heavy or special-handling items. You get the scope and price in writing before we lift anything.
- 2
Staging and loading
Our crew carries items straight to the truck, heavy pieces first so lighter bags fill the gaps. Anything you set aside to keep stays in a spot you choose.
- 3
Breakdown of fixed items
Shelving, benches and wall-mounted racks are taken apart with hand tools. We remove the fasteners we put the tools on and leave the wall anchors unless you ask us to pull them.
- 4
Final check and sweep
We walk the empty garage with you to confirm nothing on your keep list left, then sweep the floor. Usable items go to donation where possible, and the rest goes to proper disposal.

What Moves the Price of a Garage Cleanout
Price is based mostly on how much truck space your items fill, then adjusted for weight and special handling. We explain each factor on the walkthrough and write it down, so the number you approve is the number you pay. Upfront pricing with no hidden fees is how we quote every job.
- Volume
- A one-car garage with a few shelves of boxes takes far less truck space than a two-car bay packed to the rafters. Volume is the biggest driver.
- Weight and density
- Old paint cans with dried contents, scrap metal, tile leftovers and bags of concrete mix are heavy for their size. Dense loads cost more to dispose of than the same space filled with light boxes.
- Special-handling items
- Tires, freezers, refrigerators and mattresses carry their own disposal requirements. Each one is listed separately so you can see what it adds.
- Breakdown and access
- Bolted shelving, a built-in workbench or a detached garage at the back of a long yard adds labor time. A clear path from the door to the driveway keeps that time down.
Garage Cleanout Questions We Get
Something not covered here? (404) 738-8057
Do I have to sort the garage before the crew arrives?
No. Most customers put a strip of tape on the few things they're keeping or set them by the door, and we handle the rest. If you'd like to check boxes as we bring them out, that works too and only takes a little longer.
Will you haul old paint, chemicals or gasoline?
Gasoline, motor oil, pool chemicals and liquid paint follow separate disposal rules. Tell us what's sitting in the garage when you call, and we'll say plainly which items can go on our truck and how to get them ready. Dried-out latex paint cans are usually simpler than full ones.
How quickly can a crew come out?
Same-day and next-day service are available, based on how that week is booked. Give us a call and we'll go over the open slots so you can pick one.
Is there a charge for the on-site estimate?
No. The on-site estimate is free and you're under no obligation. We walk the garage, put the scope and price on paper, and you decide what to do next.
Can you take care of the basement too?
Yes. If the clutter has spread past the garage into the house, we can quote both spaces together. Our basement cleanouts page explains how we handle stairs and tight spots.

Get Your Garage Back
Tell us roughly what is in there and how big the space is. We will set up a walkthrough and put the full price in writing before any work begins.
