Construction Debris Hauling in Hapeville

The remodel is finished or nearly there, and now the scrap drywall, tile and lumber needs to leave. We load it up, haul it away and sweep the spot clean. You have the scope and price in writing before the first board is picked up.

What construction debris removal covers

Construction debris is the material a project leaves behind: broken drywall, tear-off shingles, old cabinets, cut lumber, ceramic tile set in thinset, carpet and pad. It is heavier and sharper than household junk, and it rarely fits in a curbside cart. A bathroom gut alone can produce a pickup-load of tile and mortar that weighs more than a sofa many times over.

We handle cleanup after DIY remodels and after contractors who left the hauling to you. Weight drives disposal cost for this kind of material, so we look at what is actually in the pile, then write down what we will take and what it will cost. That number is the one you pay.

What we haul and how we handle it

Drywall and plaster
Gypsum board, lath and plaster, and joint compound chunks. Plaster from older walls is dense and dusty, so we bag loose pieces before carrying them out.
Tile, mortar and masonry
Ceramic and porcelain tile, cement backer board, thinset, and small amounts of brick or broken concrete. These are the heaviest items on most jobs, and we price them by weight rather than guessing by eye.
Lumber and trim
Framing offcuts, old subfloor, demolished decks and trim. We watch for exposed nails and screws while loading.
Roofing tear-off
Asphalt shingles, felt underlayment and drip edge from a small roof or shed repair. Shingles are heavy for their size, which is why a square of them moves the price more than you might expect.
Cabinets, fixtures and flooring
Old vanities, countertops, toilets, carpet, pad and vinyl plank. If you are also clearing out an old fridge or range, our appliance removal service can go on the same trip.
Final sweep
Once the pile is gone, we rake or sweep the spot where it sat so you are not left picking up screws and tile shards.

Signs it is time to call for debris hauling

  • The pile is killing the lawn

Drywall and lumber stacked on grass for a few weeks will smother it, and a Georgia summer rain turns wet gypsum into a heavy, crumbling mess that is harder to move.

  • Your contractor did not include hauling

Many remodel bids cover demolition but not disposal. If the crew stacked debris by the driveway and left, we pick up from there.

  • Your trash cart cannot take it

Curbside service generally will not accept bags of tile, broken concrete or shingles. They are too heavy and are often not allowed in household carts.

  • Nails and sharp edges are in the way

Debris with exposed fasteners is a hazard for kids, pets and tires. Getting it off the property sooner is the safer choice.

  • You want the space back

A garage or carport full of project leftovers stops being usable. If the rest of the garage needs attention too, ask about a garage cleanout on the same visit.

How we handle a debris pickup

  1. 1

    Call and describe the job

Let us know what the project was and about how much material remains. You don't need to send photos. We'll book a free on-site estimate with no obligation, and same-day and next-day service is available.

  2. 2

We look, then write the quote

We check what the material is, how much there is and where it sits. Then we put in writing exactly what is covered and the price, with no hidden fees, and you decide whether to move ahead.

  3. 3

    We load and haul it

Our crew does all the carrying to the truck, backyards and basements included. Heavy material such as tile and concrete is loaded low and spread evenly to keep the truck balanced.

  4. 4

    Sweep-up and final look

We rake or sweep the area and look it over with you. Lumber and fixtures that can be reused go to reuse when possible, and everything else goes to proper disposal.

What moves the price of debris removal

Construction debris costs are driven mostly by weight and volume, because disposal sites charge by the load and by the ton. We do not add fees after the work starts. Whatever is listed on the written quote is what you pay.

Material weight
A truckload of tile, plaster or shingles weighs far more than a truckload of cabinets or carpet. Dense material can fill the weight limit before it fills the truck bed.
Total volume
We measure how much of the truck the load will take up. A small closet tear-out and a full kitchen gut sit at very different points on the scale.
Access and carry distance
Debris at the curb loads quickly. Material in a backyard, up stairs or down in a basement takes more labor to reach the truck.
Mixed or bagged material
Loose debris mixed with dirt or water-soaked drywall takes more time to handle and weighs more. Material that is already stacked or bagged usually moves faster.

Common construction debris questions

Something not covered here? (404) 738-8057

Does the debris need to be sorted first?

No. We load mixed piles just as they sit. If you have put aside lumber or fixtures that could be reused, let us know and we will try to send them to reuse rather than disposal.

Do you haul concrete and brick?

In smaller amounts, yes. Concrete and brick are very heavy, so we check how much there is at the estimate and build it into the written price. Removing a large slab can take more than one trip, and we say so from the start.

What won't you take?

Hazardous materials are off the list, including products containing asbestos, liquid paint, solvents and fuel. If you are not sure about an older material such as a textured ceiling or old floor tile, bring it up on the call and we will discuss it before we quote.

Can you haul debris while the remodel is still underway?

Yes. Some homeowners book one pickup after demolition and a second when the finish work wraps up. Every visit has its own written quote, so the cost is always clear.

Do you take jobs beyond Hapeville?

We serve nearby towns including East Point, College Park and Forest Park. Ask on the call and we will confirm your address.
